ABOUT

As a child, I remember being inspired to copy comics like peanuts and in my early teens, I painted Bob Ross style landscape paintings. Creative expression has guided my life in many ways, leading me to pursue a career as a hairstylist and taking up flamenco dancing which I committed to fiercely for almost 15 years, but I have always felt that painting was my destiny.

I had a desire to paint portraiture and capture the essence of a soul that spoke to me, but I needed to find a teacher who could guide me through the process of this age-old pursuit. My arrival at that destiny was finding Alexander Rokoff, a brilliant painter, and teacher. I studied with him closely for several years and immersed myself in the human form through painting and sculpture.

I have continued my studies with Alexander with yearly trips to his new studio on the Big Island of Hawai'i, painting the landscape and expanding my knowledge of painting light, texture and form.

At home, I progress my passion as an artist by painting Plein air landscapes of Pacific North West and the Oregon coast.
